May 2009 Burghley Open Speycasting Championship

The second Speycasting competition took place at the beautiful setting on the lake at Burghley in May, three of the Carron lads attended this show .The weather was glorious with bright sunshine all day. Tim Gaunt-Baker had the course all set up on our arrival and it looked really good with plenty of room and a solid platform.There would be 6 competitors who would make the final in the afternoon.

James Chalmers and Gordon Armstrong tied for first place so it was a cast off with the winner taking the £1000.00 1st prize
