Gordon Armstrong creates new world Record twice at Kelso!!

A huge cast of 73.33 Yards was cast in Sundays Grand Final on the Junction Pool of the River Tweed at Kelso.

The bar has been raised yet again, the Carron boys managed to place 4 into Sundays Grand Final, the qualifying was extremely difficult with 65 yards required to get you there.

Top 6 qualifiers on Saturday

1st Gordon Armstrong - Carron 73 Yards (New World Record)
2nd Scott Mackenzie - Diawa 71 Yards
3rd James Chalmers - Carron 68.5 Yards
4th Gerard Downey - Carron 67 Yards
5th Ruairi Costello - Carron 66.5 Yards
6th Knut Syrstad - LTS 65 Yards

Sundays Final was a great occasion as the conditions were good with blustery winds which could be to your advantage if your cast was timed correctly. A very large crowd had assembled on the banks of the famous Junction Pool of the River Tweed to witness this marvellous spectacle.

Yet again they saw some of the best casting ever to be witnessed in any competition in the world.

6th James Chalmers - Carron 61 Yards

Well done to all the lads who made this final and providing such a spectacle and hearty congratulations to Gordon for making a piece of history twice in one weekend. Well Done!!
